Joseph Alleine is a much respected and much beloved Puritan preacher. His best known work is 'An Alarm to the Unconverted', first published in 1672 and steadily in print for over 300 years.
The present volume is a collection of 16 of his sermons on various subjects. Some of those are: “The Art of Dying Well,” “Self-Examination,” “A Serious Call to Christians to Win Souls to Christ,” “God May Be Sorely Angry with His People,” and “The Greatness of Christ’s Love.” The last one is his farewell sermon after the Great Ejection of 1662.
