Louis Berkhof (1873-1957) was an American-Dutch Reformed theologian who served as a pastor in Michigan and taught at Calvin Theological Seminary for almost four decades. He served as president of the seminary from 1931-1944. Berkhof wrote twenty-two books during his career, including Systematic Theology and History of Christian Doctrines. He also delivered Princeton Theological Seminary's Stone Lectures in 1951, published as The Kingdom of God.
